Words, But No Longer Friends

I am now done with Words With Friends.

For those of you who don’t know, Words With Friends is a game for your phone that’s pretty much Scrabble.

Scrabble is one of those games that’s an all-time classic, and universally understood. However, it’s also boring as Hell to try and sit down and play a board game that takes six hours to play and relies on literacy in the internet age.

It’s universal. Adults hate it because they can’t spell worth a ratz azz anymore because they all type on computers with automatic spell-check, and kids hate it because it makes them realize half of the things they say aren’t actually words.

Anyway, I’m done. I had my fun, won some games, but I’ve officially wordless. Somehow I let myself get into twelve different games all going at once, and completely ran out of words. My last four WWFriends entries were “poop,” “erm,” and “glerk.” I’m out. Any more pressure, and I’ll wind up sounding like Jodie Foster in “Nell.”

Oh, we had a good run. As far as internet sensations go, at least WWFriends taught us all that “Qi” and “Xi” were words. That’s something, at least.
